תּוֹלְדוֹת
Rabbi Zutra was a Babylonian tanna of the fifth generation of tannaim. He is brought only once in all of Shas — in a beraita in Berachot 13b, where he differs with Rabbi Yoshiya — and according to several versions of the text in Berachot 43b he also brings a teaching in the name of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.
במקום שהמסורות חלוקות. Shir suggested that this is not a tanna in his own right — Zutra being a Babylonian name — but a byname for Rabbi Yehuda Nesiah, who was the zutra, the younger one, beside his grandfather Rebbi.
רבי זוטרא היה תנא בבלי בדור החמישי לתנאים. הוא מובא פעם אחת בש"ס בברייתא במסכת ברכות, דף י"ג, עמוד ב' וחולק שם על רבי יאשיה.
