תּוֹלְדוֹת
Rabbi Yehuda ben Pazi — called also Rabbi Yehuda ben Simon, and named in the sources as the son of Rabbi Shimon ben Pazi — was a kohen and one of the well-known amoraim of Eretz Yisrael. Hundreds of his statements, in halacha and in aggada, are spread through the Talmud Yerushalmi.
במקום שהמסורות חלוקות. The Seder HaDorot weighs whether Pazi was the name of Rabbi Yehuda’s father, of his grandfather, or of his mother, and reaches no clear decision.
