רבי הלל ריבלין ("ריבאלס") משקלוב, שהמסורת המשפחתית טוענת שהיה תלמיד הגאון מווילנה. לפי המסורת המשפחתית היה גם ממנהיגי גלי עליית תלמידיו לארץ ישראל בתחילת המאה ה-19. היסטוריונים מערערים כיום על מסורות משפחתיות אלו.
Hillel Rivlin of Shklov was a close disciple of the Vilna Gaon. Along with some other pupils of the Vilna Gaon, he is credited with having revitalized the Ashkenazi community in what is now Israel, by immigrating to Jerusalem in 1809.
