מרדכי אפרים פישל סופר-צוסמן

Rav Mordechai Efraim Fischel Sofer-Zussman (5627/1867–5702/1942) was a Hungarian rav who served as chief rabbi of Budapest. His father, Rav Binyamin Ze’ev Wolf Sofer-Zussman, was himself a rav in Budapest and the author of Chalifot Simlat Binyamin, and he married a daughter of Rav Kopel Reich, who held the Budapest rabbinate before him.

After receiving semicha he served in several kehillot and then took charge of the Yere’im kehillah, and in 5674/1914 he was appointed to succeed his father-in-law. He wrote a commentary on the Torah called Ateret Paz, which was printed in Yerushalayim in 5727/1967.
