Rabbi Moshe ben Avraham of Pontoise (משה מפונטואז) was a rishon of Tzarfat in the twelfth century, one of the Baalei HaTosafot and a talmid of Rabbeinu Tam.
In Rabbeinu Tam’s Sefer HaYashar he puts a number of questions to his rebbi on how to read sugyot of the Gemara, and these questions became part of the standard Tosafot. One of them tells of his brother, who let a ger (convert) live in his house and later went into business with him.
Later Baalei HaTosafot cite him in their peirushim on the Torah, and Rabbi Shimshon of Sens (Shantz) cites his peirush on the Mishnah. In the sixteenth century Rabbi Chaim ben Betzalel said that he owned a copy of that peirush. Rabbi Moshe also wrote piyyutim (liturgical poems); one of them, just two lines long, survives in the Azharot of Rabbi Eliyahu ben Menachem HaZaken.
