תּוֹלְדוֹת
Rafram (niftar 4203/443) was a Babylonian amora of the seventh generation who stood at the head of the yeshiva of Pumbedita. He learned under Rav Ashi and was a colleague of Ravina II. When Rav Geviha’s term at the head of the Pumbedita academy came to an end, Rafram took his place, and he led the yeshiva for ten years until his passing.
במקום שהמסורות חלוקות. More than one sage carries the name Rafram; this account is of the later Rafram, the talmid of Rav Ashi, and not of the earlier Rafram bar Papa.
רפרם היה אמורא בדור השישי בבל. עמד בראש ישיבת פומבדיתא בשנים: 388–395. היה חברו של רב אשי.
