תּוֹלְדוֹת
Rav Rechumi the Second (רב רחומי השני) was an amora of the seventh generation. He headed the yeshiva of Pumbedita after Rafram, from 449 to 493. He was a talmid of Ravina, the colleague of Rav Ashi, and in masechet Yoma he tells of the customs of his teacher Ravina.
In his last days King Yazdegerd issued a decree of persecution against the Jews of Bavel.

רב רחומי השני היה אמורא בדור השביעי. עמד בראש ישיבת פומבדיתא אחרי רפרם בשנים 449 - 493, היה תלמידו של רבינא, והוא מספר על מנהגי רבינא רבו במסכת יומא בסוף ימיו נגזר שמד על יהודי בבל על ידי המלך יזדגרד.
