These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TorahSages.com (the “Site”), operated by TorahSages (“we,” “us,” or “TS”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Use of the Site
The Site is provided as a free resource for personal Torah study and reference. You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access, scrape or harvest content at scale in a way that burdens our infrastructure, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Termination
If you violate any of these Terms, your permission to use the Site and content will automatically terminate. TorahSages (TS), a website operated by Marketing The Net LLC, reserves the right to revoke your access to and use of the Site and content at any time, with or without cause.

Intellectual property and source texts
Original materials created by TorahSages — including original essays (shiurim), audio recordings, site design, and the selection, arrangement, and compilation of materials — are the property of TorahSages or its licensors. Biographical excerpts drawn from third-party sources (e.g., Wikipedia) remain subject to their own licenses (such as CC-BY-SA) and are attributed on the relevant pages.
The Hebrew source texts presented in the Library are classical works reproduced from public-domain and openly-licensed digital editions. These texts remain subject to their respective licenses — including Public Domain editions and, for the Talmud Bavli, a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, with attributions shown on the relevant pages. Your use of those source texts is subject to their original licenses.
Although all content available on TS is individually attributed, and the vast majority of the content is ancient “public domain” texts, if you have any copyright concerns, please contact us at [email protected] and if valid, we will reply expeditiously with required changes.
Audio Recordings
The Torah-reading (leining) audio recordings on the Site — including any free preview recordings we make available without charge — are original, proprietary works produced by TorahSages and are protected by copyright. They are provided solely for personal, non-commercial listening on the Site itself.
Except where we expressly provide a download feature to an entitled account, you may not download, copy, record, capture, scrape, harvest, mirror, redistribute, rehost, republish, broadcast, or otherwise make any recording (or any portion of one) available on any other website, application, feed, or platform, or embed or “hotlink” the underlying audio files — and this restriction applies even where attribution to TorahSages is given. Free preview recordings are offered for you to listen to on our pages; they are not licensed for reuse or redistribution of any kind.
Linking is welcome. You are encouraged to link to our Site and to our reading pages (for example, a parsha or leining page) so that others can listen here. What is not permitted is linking to, embedding, or copying the underlying audio media files themselves. Paid recordings are additionally subject to your account and purchase terms; access is personal and non-transferable.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted, and we may take appropriate action to protect these recordings, including issuing takedown notices and pursuing other remedies available under law.
No professional or halachic advice
Content on the Site is provided for study and informational purposes only. It does not constitute a halachic ruling (psak), nor legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. For practical guidance, consult a qualified rabbinic or professional authority. See our Disclaimer.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. By using this Site, you represent and warrant that your use of this Site and its Content will be in compliance with these Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TorahSages will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TS and Marketing The Net LLC from any liability, loss, claim, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) related to your violation of these Terms.
Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and links do not imply endorsement.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Void Where Prohibited
Although the Site is accessible worldwide, some features may not be available in all jurisdictions. Each user is responsible for adhering to the laws of his/her jurisdiction.
Severability
If for any reason any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Contributions
TorahSages accepts voluntary contributions to help cover production and server costs. A contribution is not a payment for goods or services, does not create a membership, subscription, or other entitlement, and is not a tax-deductible charitable donation (TorahSages is operated by Marketing The Net LLC, which is not a registered charity). Contributions are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s secure payment pages. If you believe you contributed in error, contact us at [email protected] and we will review promptly.
