הרב אבימי בן רחבה

Rav Avimi ben Rechava — also written Avimi bar Rechava — was an amora of the fourth generation and a talmid of Rabbah. His father was Rechava of Pumbedita and his mother was Chuma, a great-granddaughter of Rav Yehudah. He and his brother Ifa are called in the Gemara charifei d’Pumbedita, “the sharp ones” of Pumbedita.
