Parshat Yitro: Moshe's father-in-law comes to the camp and advises him to appoint judges, and Israel stands at Har Sinai to receive the Aseret HaDibrot. The Aseret HaDibrot are leined in the public melody, taam elyon, when the congregation stands. About 17 minutes of leining, recorded aliyah by aliyah by a Master Baal Koreh with every word highlighted as it is read.

Aliyah 1 — Exodus 18:1-18:12
עלייה 1 — שמות 18:1-18:12Yitro hears what Hashem did for Israel and comes to the camp with Tzipporah and her sons. He blesses Hashem and brings offerings.
Aliyah 2 — Exodus 18:13-18:23
עלייה 2 — שמות 18:13-18:23Yitro watches Moshe judge the people from morning to evening and tells him he will wear himself out. He advises appointing officers of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.
Aliyah 3 — Exodus 18:24-18:27
עלייה 3 — שמות 18:24-18:27Moshe follows Yitro's advice and appoints the judges. Yitro returns to his land.

עלייה 6 — שמות 19:20-20:17Moshe is sent down to warn the people, and then the Aseret HaDibrot. The congregation usually stands.
Leining tip: The 10 commandments (aseret hadibrot) are also leined on Shavuot 7th day. There's different minhagim regarding the tune used (elyon, tachton). Make sure you are familiar with what your shul's practice ahead of time. We are preparing you here for the more common "taamey elyon". A special kriyah will be added for "taamey tachton" in the special readings section.
