Aliyah 1 — Deuteronomy 29:9-29:11
עלייה 1 — דברים 29:9-29:11You are standing today, all of you, before Hashem: the heads, the elders, the children, the women, the stranger, from the woodcutter to the water drawer.
Aliyah 2 — Deuteronomy 29:12-29:14
עלייה 2 — דברים 29:12-29:14To enter the covenant and the oath that Hashem makes with you today, and not with you alone but with those not here today.
Aliyah 3 — Deuteronomy 29:15-29:28
עלייה 3 — דברים 29:15-29:28You saw the idols of the nations. The one who blesses himself in his heart, saying I will be at peace. The land turned to sulfur and salt, and the nations asking why. The hidden things are for Hashem, and the revealed for us and our children.
Leining tip: There is 'hakesuvah bsafer Hatorah hazeh' (also in chamishi) and 'hakesuvah basefer hazeh'. In the first instance it is bsafer because the identifier heh is used on Torah. In the second instance it is basefer because the direct identifier is needed.
