Rabbeinu Yerucham is a halachic authority whose rulings are frequently cited across the classic codes, especially throughout Yoreh De’ah, where he appears on a wide range of practical questions. The cited passages record his views on the laws of forbidden foods and kashrut — including the koshering and salting of meat, blemishes in slaughtered animals, and the status of poultry — as well as on the dietary practices of a mourner, where he is quoted explaining the reason an avel eats bread provided by others rather than his own.

His positions are also drawn upon extensively in the law of vows and oaths (nedarim and shevu’ot) — such as vows made under duress, the annulment of a wife’s or daughter’s vows, and oaths whose subject is publicly known — and in matters of betrothal and marriage, ritual immersion, and interpersonal financial dealings.
