Hashem sends Moshe again to Pharaoh, with Aharon as his spokesman. Moshe is eighty and Aharon eighty-three.

Aharon's staff becomes a serpent and swallows the magicians' staffs. The first plague, blood, and the second, frogs.

The frogs are removed at Moshe's prayer and Pharaoh hardens his heart. The third plague, lice, which the magicians cannot reproduce: it is the finger of Hashem.

The fourth plague, wild beasts, sparing Goshen. Pharaoh bargains and reneges. The fifth plague, pestilence, and the sixth, boils. The warning before the hail.

The seventh plague, hail mixed with fire, destroying the flax and barley. Pharaoh admits he has sinned, the hail stops, and he hardens his heart again.
