About the Pele Yoetz on TorahSages

Pele Yoetz was written by Rabbi Eliezer Papo (1785–1827), rav of Silistra in Bulgaria, and first printed in Constantinople in 1824. It is a sefer of musar arranged by the alef-bet: each entry takes one subject — a middah, a mitzvah, or a matter of the home or the community — and says plainly what a person should do about it, from Ahavah LaKadosh Baruch Hu at the start to Teshuah at the end. It is written for the ordinary Jew and returns often to the home, such as raising children and shalom bayit. It was especially loved in the Sephardic world, where it was also read in Ladino, and it is learned as a daily sefer of musar, an entry at a time.

TorahSages has the complete Pele Yoetz, 391 entries in the order of the alef-bet.
