הרב מר ינוקא ומר קשישא בני רב חסדא

Mar Yenuka and Mar Kashisha, the sons of Rav Chisda, were amoraim who appear in the Gemara as a pair, addressing themselves to Rav Ashi. In several passages they bring before him the teachings of the sages of Nehardea, sometimes citing those rulings in the name of Rav Nachman, who himself spoke in the name of Shmuel.

In Bava Batra they relate to Rav Ashi the position of the Nehardeans regarding brothers who divided an inheritance and whether one retains a right of way over the other’s portion. In Bava Metzia they bring the Nehardean ruling in the name of Rav Nachman concerning an asmachta — that such a conditional obligation takes effect when fulfilled at its appointed time but not when fulfilled outside its time. In Pesachim they recount before Rav Ashi an episode involving Ameimar who visited their locale, where they describe questions of havdalah said over beer when wine was unavailable. Their name also surfaces in the discussions of Chullin.
