רבי אפטוריקי

Rabbi Aptoriki was an amora. He appears in tractate Menachot, where he is brought stating a point of Torah methodology in the name of an earlier authority: that when a general statement (klal) and a specifying detail (prat) are separated from one another, they are not interpreted by the hermeneutic rule of klal u’frat. This teaching reflects his engagement with the principles by which the Torah is expounded.
