רבי אלעזר מגרמייזא היה מקובל ופוסק, מגדולי רבניהם של חסידי אשכנז ותלמידו של רבי יהודה החסיד. בעל ספר הרוקח, מבעלי התוספות ובעל כתבים קבליים רבים, שמרביתם נותרו בכתבי יד. היה רב ודיין בוורמס. קבע והשפיע על מנהגים שנוהגים עד ימינו בקרב יהדות אשכנז.
Eleazar of Worms, or Eleazar ben Judah ben Kalonymus, also sometimes known today as Eleazar Rokeach from the title of his Book of the Perfumer —where the numerical value of "Perfumer" is equal to Eleazar, was a prominent Kabbalist and halakhic authority, among the greatest of the Hasidei Ashkenaz and a disciple of Rabbi Judah the Pious.
