The tower of Bavel and the scattering of mankind. The ten generations from Shem to Avram. (Avram is later to be known as Abraham, the first forefather). Terach's family leaves Ur Kasdim for Charan.

Leining tip: Be careful when saying Avram not to add a "hey", as leiners often do, to his name. He's not Avraham yet!
